At Scaglia Indeva, our top priority is to ensure the well-being of all our employees, customers and suppliers and to help to support our customers’ needs wherever we can do so safely. We have put appropriate measures in place to provide customer support in a safe working environment and can confirm the following updates:
How to contact us: We have introduced a rota system that will ensure a member of staff is available during normal working hours, to provide telephone support to customers, receive deliveries and manage the despatch of spare parts. Other office-based staff including the sales team are working from home, and we recommend customers contact them directly on their mobile phone, or via email if they need specific assistance.
Service and on-site support. We have temporarily suspended routine planned service visits, but service engineers are available to attend production critical service issues on-site, provide free technical support over the phone, or for the installation of equipment that is urgently required in production. Our engineers will follow customer site specific coronavirus related requirements, as well as government recommendations with regards to minimising the risk of spreading the virus.
Face to face communications. Where requested by customers, urgent face to face meetings can be arranged and will follow customer site-specific requirements, as well as government recommendations with regards to minimising the risk of spreading the virus.
An update from our production facility in Italy
Production. In line with Italian Government instructions, production at our factory has been temporarily paused and is currently scheduled to resume week commencing 6th April, subject to review by the business, as well as any further government restrictions.
Remote working. Where possible and considering the demands on individuals and families as they deal with the crisis in Italy, office-based technical and commercial staff are working remotely. Investment in IT / server infrastructure recently has enabled design engineering staff to work productively remotely.
Deliveries from Italy. When the factory reopens, it is envisaged that goods will be allowed to cross the border out of Italy, with specific safety measures in place for truck drivers. Goods will not be delivered to UK sites by the same drivers who have collected goods in Italy.
Lead times. There may be an impact on delivery schedules of equipment currently under manufacture; staff in Italy are monitoring and managing supply chain requirements closely. Customers will be informed if any potential delays to their orders are envisaged.
If you have any questions or require further information, please do not hesitate to contact us.
